Maharashtra lockdown: Decision on lockdown today due to deteriorating situation from Corona

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray can take a big decision today regarding the lockdown on the ever-increasing corona in Maharashtra. Chief Minister Thackeray will meet with Deputy CM Ajit Thackeray today and decide on the lockdown.

This meeting between CM Uddhav and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar will be held at 11 am.

According to the information, Uddhav Thackeray is in support of a week’s lockdown.

He had indicated to put a strict lockdown on Saturday in view of the dreaded situation of the rapid rise of Covid-19 cases.

The state government had announced some restrictions last week including lockdown on weekends, night curfew and prohibitory orders in the day. These restrictions will continue till 30 April.

A second wave of corona is rapidly engulfing people. During the last 24 hours, the highest number of cases of Corona has been reported in a single day in the country.

Corona is wreaking havoc all over Maharashtra. During 24 hours, 63,294 new cases of corona have been reported here, which is the first time in a day.

New cases of Corona are increasing so fast that more than 6 lakh people are home quarantined in Mumbai at this time.

According to BMC, at present there are about 90 thousand active cases in the city. 75 thousand of them are without symptoms, their condition is stable.

The number of such people has increased rapidly in the last few days. Along with this, the number of people who want to stay in home isolation has also increased.

A few weeks ago there were 3.11 lakh such people, while in February there were only 99 thousand people in home isolation. But currently 6.10 lakh people are living in home isolation
