Why The Government Has Lowered LPG Prices?
The steep decrease is seen in the context of easing the concerns about the LPG availability in the Middle East region. Previously, the tension created in Iran and the fear of any kind of disruption at the Strait of Hormuz increased the prices of LPG across the globe, thus causing frequent increases in the prices of commercial cylinders. With an improvement in the scenario and stabilization of the international LPG prices, oil marketing companies have passed on the advantage to the consumers by decreasing the prices of the commercial LPG cylinders.
Domestic LPG Cylinders Cost Remains the Same
Even though commercial LPG cylinder prices have been reduced substantially, there has been no reduction in the cost of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders that are bought by domestic customers.
Consumers’ Interpretation of Price Revision
LPG Price: While consumers will not experience any decline in LPG cylinder prices, the reduced price of commercial LPG cylinders will help consumers in the long run, assuming that hotels, restaurants, and other culinary establishments continue charging lower prices for their services due to reduced costs.
