Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda has said that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is certain of her loss in Nandigram. He said that their(TMC) people have told him certain of her loss, the TMC leader is now looking for another seat to conest in the Bengal Assembly Polls.
When asked about the reported of Mamata Banerjee looking for another seat to contest, Nadda told ANI, "This is their strategy and they know better about it, but we have information that she is searching and their people have said so to me. However, I cannot take a guarantee of this as they know it. But she is losing Nandigram, this is certain."
Assembly elections for 294 seats of the West Bengal are being held in 8 phases, from 27 March to 29 April 2021. The voting for second phase took place on 1 April, while the contest for third phase will take place on April 6.
BJP has fielded former TMC leader Suvyendu Adhikari in Nandigram. Adhikari had joined BJP last year in December.
