The Home Ministry is preparing to hand over the investigation of the attack on the army convoy in Manipur to the NIA. According to information received from the sources of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Home Affairs will soon hand over this case to the NIA. NIA team has taken stock of the incident site in Manipur. Since Ambush, NIA has taken information about all the aspects related to this incident.
Colonel Biplab Tripathi, commanding officer of Khuga Battalion of Assam Rifles, his wife and six-year-old son, besides four soldiers of the force were martyred in the terror attack in Manipur. Two banned militant outfits in Manipur had claimed responsibility for the ambush on an Assam Rifles team. The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and the Manipur Naga People’s Front (MNPF) claimed in a joint statement that they carried out the attack on the paramilitary force in Sehkan village of Churachandpur district.
The incident took place at 10.30 am on November 13 at Sehken village of Singangat in Churachandpur district. 7 people were killed in this nefarious act of terrorists. The People’s Liberation Army (PLA), which took responsibility for this attack, was formed in the year 1978. Later the Government of India declared it a terrorist organization. This organization is known for carrying out deceitful attacks on Indian security forces in Manipur. It was formed by Biswesar Singh. Terrorist organization PLA demands independent Manipur.

Condemning this attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that I pay tribute to the soldiers and family members who have been martyred today. His sacrifice will never be forgotten. My condolences are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief.
At the same time, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had said that the cowardly attack on the convoy of Assam Rifles in Churachandpur, Manipur is very sad and condemnable. The nation lost five brave soldiers and two members of their families, including the CO of the 46th Assam Rifles. Rajnath Singh said that my condolences to the bereaved families. The culprits will soon be brought to the court of justice.
