After a lot of violence and protests, the state government has decide to extend the ban on internet services for five more days. The Home Ministry passed this order saying that the ban will be effective till 15th of June 3 pm. The ban was earlier extended till yesterday. However the curfew was at ease in some of the districts like Imphal East and Imphal West. In an order issued by the government, the restrictions were relaxed from 5am to 8pm in the evening. The terrorists attacked and killed five people and two got injured on Friday .

Assam CM: will ensure peace in the state

The incident had happened in the Khoken village of the Imphal west district. The security officers immediately rushed in after hearing gun shots, the terrorists immediately ran away from the spot. Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also met Manipur CM to discuss the situation of the state. The Assam CM promised that he will work at his level best to restore peace in Manipur. The CM also said that he has informed the Prime Minister of the situation.
