AAP has evicted BJP from the power of Municipal Corporation of Delhi. BJP was in power here for 15 years. In this election, out of 250 seats, BJP got 104 seats, while AAP won 134 seats. Congress got 9 seats and others got 3 seats. 126 seats are needed for a majority in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

Manish Sisodia made a big attack on BJP

After this victory, Manish Sisodia made a big attack on BJP. Manish Sisodia had said that honesty and work defeated the world's biggest party, which was ruling the MCD for 15 years. The people of Delhi have given us a big responsibility under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal to make Delhi clean and beautiful.

CM Kejriwal also said in his address that he will take help from all parties to beautify Delhi and he also needs the blessings of the PM and the Centre. Meanwhile, Manish Sisodia has now alleged that BJP is trying to buy AAP councillors.

BJP leaders had claimed that the mayor of Delhi would be from the BJP only

In fact, even after lagging behind in the Municipal Corporation elections, some BJP leaders had claimed that the mayor of Delhi would be from the BJP only. Amit Malviya, head of BJP's IT department, had said in a tweet that now preparations are on to elect a mayor for Delhi. It will all depend on who can maintain the numbers in a close contest, how the nominated councilors vote. For example, Chandigarh has a mayor from the BJP.

Delhi BJP spokesperson Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga had also claimed that the mayor in Delhi would be from the BJP. These claims of BJP leaders have raised the political temperature in the capital Delhi. Within a few days the process of electing the mayor will start in MCD.
