Aam Aadmi Party leader and Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, has moved to Delhi Court seeking bail after the Supreme Court refused to entertain his plea for the same. Manish Sisodia moves Delhi Court for bail plea
Manish Sisodia has moved to Delhi Court after the Supreme Court junked his plea pertaining to his arrest by the CBI. Prior to Supreme Court, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court had sent Manish Sisodia to CBI custody till March 4.
The SC bench consisting of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justice P S Narasimha refused to entertain the plea, suggesting him to approach a trial court or Delhi HC. The bench said that someone can not come to the apex court just because the incident has happened in Delhi.
The court later said,” The question is not about this court not having the power. We undoubtedly have the power but the question is whether we should exercise this extraordinary power in a given case. It will set a very wrong precedent. Just because an incident occurs in Delhi, we can’t entertain it here directly.”

Manish Sisodia resignation
After SC rejected his bail plea, Manish Sisodia turned in his papers to chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. In his resignation letter, he wrote, “I worked for 8 year with honesty but now corruption are levelled against me. I know God knows these allegations are false. This is nothing more than the conspiracy of those people who are scared of Kejriwal’s politics. You (Kejriwal) are their target, not me because people of the country are looking up to you as a leader who has a Vision for the country.”
