The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MC(D) has called on NGOs and animal birth control organisations to revamp sterlisation centers that have not been operating for over a year. These five centers are located at Tughlaqabad, Rohini, and Dwarka. With MCD’s sterilisation mission in works, these five centers will soon be made operational again, officials said. With this, MCD will now have a total of 21 dog sterilisation centers. The deadline to submit the application form is June 23.

MCD would prepare a plane to make Delhi free of street animals

Mayor Shelly Oberoi said that MCD is chalking out a plan to make the streets of Delhi free of state animals. To accommodate stray animals, shelters would be constructed.

“We are providing relief to people from the problem of stay animals. We are also ensuring that stray animals do not face any difficulties. End towards animal cruelty

The mayor has also flagged four cattle catcher vehicles in Delhi to address the issues related to stray animals. These vehicles will immediately redirect to authorities to address any complaints of locals pertaining to stay animals. These vehicles, running on CNG, will ensure the safe capturing of animals along with putting a full stop to animal cruelty.

“Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, work is being carried out in the MCD area. Tree pruning was becoming a major issue in the MCD region. However, now each zone has been provided with a pruning machine. There will be no difficulties regarding tree pruning anymore,” she said.
