Men with sticks seen on camera at JNU; clash between two groups

Scores of people were seen carrying wooden sticks at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University on Thursday, soon after a clash between two groups emerged at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University, video showed.

Students from Tapti Hostel and students from another hostel reportedly got into a fight. Soon a large fight broke out on campus, according to sources.

Profanities could be heard in the video.

"We have not received any formal complaint yet in the matter. The fight was between two students and there is no political group involved. It is a matter of personal dispute between the duo," a senior police official was quoted saying by news agency PTI.

The university is yet to issue statement about the incident.
