Reuse, reduction, and recycling are ingrained in Indian customs and culture, as PM Modi has emphasised. He remarked, "We need to bring these behaviours back and strive toward making sustainable decisions.
At the global launch of "Mission Life," UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres claimed that the G20's combined resources have the capacity to put an end to the war against nature and put humanity on the path to sustainable existence.

"G20 nations produce 80% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions, but they also produce 80% of the world's gross domestic product. G20 resources taken together have the potential to put an end to the war against nature and put us on the path to sustainable living "UN chief spoke.

According to the head of the UN, India can play a pivotal mediating role in fostering trust between poor and industrialised countries.

"A significant political opportunity to restore confidence and speed up implementation of the Paris Agreement's pillars will be presented at COP27. India may play a crucial bridge role in fostering trust between developing and rich countries due to its vulnerability to climate change and its huge economy" he said.

He continued, "Communities and individuals can and must contribute to the solution for preserving our planet and our shared future."

According to the head of the UN, rich nations must fulfil their pledges to offer practical financial and technological assistance to developing nations during this transition.

"Developed nations must keep their word and give real financial and technological assistance to developing nations like India during this transition. We must start a revolution in renewable energy, and we eagerly anticipate working with India on this "UN head of state added.
