Mohan Bhagwat: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat urged all Indians to stand united together and avoid discrimination.

Mohan Bhagwat: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat has made a nationwide call for unity, brotherhood and social harmony. Bhagwat said India belongs to everyone and is not an exclusive property of any caste, wealth, language or region.

What did Mohan Bhagwat said?

Addressing a rally in Chhattisgarh, Bhagwat said everyone in India must be treated as equal and without any discrimination on the basis of region, caste, religion, language or wealth.

Were the comments made for Anjel Chakma?

A 17-year-old MBA student, Anjel Chakma died a few days back after a brutal attack in Dehradun. According to his father, Anjel Chakma was assaulted after he defended himself and his younger brother.

The two were racially targeted by a group of men, including two juveniles, with racial slurs. The attackers reportedly made use of blunt and sharp objects to stab both after Anjel Chakma asserted his Indian identity.

Bhagwat’s Reaction

Bhagwat said the first step towards harmony, unity and brotherhood is the removal of feelings of discrimination and separation from minds. The RSS chief added true social harmony is when everyone in the country feels and stands equal and respected by all.
