MoS Ajay Misra’s son summoned by UP Police for questioning over Lakhimpur Kheri violence

Ashish Misra, the son of Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs Ajay Misra Teni, was summoned by the Uttar Pradesh police on Thursday in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case.

Misra was booked on charges of murder in the FIR filed in the case that came after days after the farmers alleged that his car ran over four farmers during the October 3 clashes, killing them on the spot.

“The kiosks have also been recovered from the spot, on which forensic examination is being conducted,” IG Lakshmi Singh said.

The FIR states that Ashish Misra had opened fire at the agitating farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri and was also present in the car that run over the farmers.
