Mysore: Pratap Simha, a BJP member from Karnataka, stirred a controversy by threatening to bulldoze the bus stop that resembles a mosque on the Mysuru-Ooty Road.

The bus stand resembles masjid: MP Simha

MP Pratap Simha said, “I’ve seen it on social media. The bus stand has two domes, a big one in the middle and a small one beside it. That’s a masjid only. I’ve told engineers to demolish the structure in three-four days. If they don’t, I will take a JCB and demolish it.”

Congress, meanwhile, criticised the BJP MP's statement. Karnataka Congress chief Salim Ahmed said, “This is a foolish statement by the Mysuru MP. Will he demolish government offices that have a gumbaz, too?”

Simha is an MP since 2014 from Mysore

He served as the former president of the Yuva Morcha Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka and is a representative for Mysore-Kodagu in Lok Sabha. The 46 year old MP has been a member of Lok Sabha since 2014. He was earlier in news when he lashed on the supporters of Tipu Sultan.
