Navjot Kaur Sidhu: Navjot Kaur Sidhu, former Punjab MLA and the wife of ex-Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu, has been expelled by the Indian National Congress (INC) by Bhupesh Baghel, the Punjab affairs-in-charge of the state.
Interestingly, the expulsion of Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu came days after she resigned from the party. She accused the party leadership of being “disconnected” from Punjab’s ground realities.
Navjot Kaur Sidhu-Pappu Comment Irks Congress?
Following her expulsion, she made a scathing statement against top Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, referring to him as ‘Pappu’. Navjot added that the Congress leadership does not have the required ability to take timely decisions as even critical decisions take nearly 6 months to materialize that affect the Congress’s credibility and performance.

The strained leadership of Navjot dates back to December 2025 when the Congress party suspended her after she made a controversial remark suggesting that a Rs. 500 crore suitcase was needed for anyone to become the Chief Minister of Punjab.
Praises BJP-Ghar Wapsi On The Cards?
In subsequent posts, Navjot appreciated the Bharatiya Janta Party, recalling the party always recognized her talent and allowed her to work with complete honesty and integrity. Previously, she served as a BJP MLA from the Amritsar East seat before she joined the INC ahead of the Assembly Polls in 2017.
Navjot remarked that the BJP made her Chief Parliamentary Secretary of Health in the SAD-BJP government because of her past work experience. Navjot told Rahul Gandhi that he must start learning to respect hard working and honest people or else he would lose his existence in politics.
In her exit note, Navjot targeted Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring. Navjot called Amrinder the most incapable, horrific and corrupt president ever.
