The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has ordered a vigilance probe against Sameer Wankhede following a witness accused him of demanding Rs 25 crore bribe from another witness for releasing Aryan Khan.
“I am supervising the inquiry on the allegations (against Sameer Wankhede),” said NCB Deputy Director General Gyaneshwar Singh.
Mumbai NCB officials submitted a detailed report to Director-General of NCB on the alleged probe agency.
Sameer Wankhede will reach Delhi NCB headquarters for a review meeting on Tuesday.
According to sources, DDG Gyaneshwar Singh, who is also the Chief Vigilance Officer of NCB, will be entrusted with the internal investigation of the vigilance probe on Wankhede.
