He said that the news and activist “saw the comment of Will you marry her out of context, which was meant to create controversy and tarnish the image of the court”.
In the rape case, the Supreme Court clarified its stand and said that in the context of the case, the petitioner had asked the person whether he would marry the complainant.
He did not ask her to “go and marry”. The bench of CJI Bobde said that the proceedings in the rape case were completely misreported before the court.
He said that the Supreme Court has given the highest honor to women as an institution by the Chief Justice of India. The bench never asked the petitioner to marry the victim. What is the whole matter? Actually, last week, the Supreme Court stayed the arrest of the accused in a sexual abuse case with a minor for four weeks. The accused is a government employee, a technician in Maharashtra State Electricity Generation Company Limited. The accused argued that if he is arrested, he will be suspended from service.
