New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF) 2023 brings culture, heritage and knowledge under one umbrella. This year, the event began on February 25, and will culminate on March 5. Celebrating India’s unity in diversity, the book fair serves the right blend of art, science and literature, all of which are put on display in various forms at the event. This year, the enthusiasm among the book lovers is ten folds as the much-anticipated event was finally held in full bloom after several years of sabbatical due to Covid-19 induced pandemic.
This year, the fair is being organised by National Book Trust, India in collaboration with ITPO. For school students in uniform, senior citizens and the differently-abled, the entry has been kept free. The NDWBF 2023 has chosen Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav as its theme.
35 International Publishers at NDWBF
More than 35 international publishers have gathered at Pragati Maidan to showcase the best of their offerings in the New Delhi World Book Fair. With literature from all over the world, including countries like France, Spain, Turkey, Iran, Nepal and Sri Lanka among others, NDWBF brought the colours of joys right before the Holi for all the bookholics in India.
As many as 800 book stalls are available for readers to choose a varied range of books from. With the NDWBF being organised after a break due to Covid, the zeal and enthusiasm of book lovers was evidently visible. School students, college goers and avid readers gathered in flocks to actively participate in the event.

G20 pavilion at the book fair
A special G20 Pavilion has been put up at the fair which highlights the literature, art, and culture of the G-20 member nations. This comes amid the ongoing G20 meet in India which has the participation of Finance Ministers of 20 countries. The Pavilion features a Sound Shower, an audio technique that offers a singular sensory experience, to bring the basic aspects of India's G20 Presidency to the young readers. The theme of India’s G-20 Presidency is “One Earth. One Family. One Future”.
