NHAI Launches FASTag-Based Annual Pass for ₹3,000

Priced at ₹3,000, the pass is valid for one year or up to 200 toll plaza crossings, whichever comes first, starting from the date of activation.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has introduced a FASTag-based annual pass for non-commercial private vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans. Priced at ₹3,000, the pass is valid for one year or up to 200 toll plaza crossings, whichever comes first, starting from the date of activation.

Designed to offer seamless travel across highways, the pass eliminates the need for frequent top-ups, ensuring uninterrupted journeys for regular commuters. It is especially beneficial for those who frequently travel on national highways for work, education, or personal commitments, offering both convenience and cost savings.

The initiative is expected to boost the adoption of digital toll payment systems

The initiative is expected to boost the adoption of digital toll payment systems, reducing cash transactions and contributing to faster toll processing times. By minimising stop-and-go traffic at plazas, the pass can also help reduce fuel wastage and vehicle emissions, supporting environmental goals.

Officials have highlighted that the FASTag annual pass will be accepted across a wide network of national highway toll plazas, making it ideal for intercity travellers, long-distance commuters, and frequent visitors to neighbouring states.

Motorists can easily purchase and activate the pass through the Rajmargyatra mobile app or by visiting the official NHAI website nhai.gov.in. Once activated, the pass is linked to the vehicle’s FASTag account, allowing for automatic toll deductions without additional charges until the limit of 200 crossings or one year is reached.

By offering this option, NHAI aims to enhance travel efficiency, improve user experience on national highways, and encourage more vehicle owners to shift towards hassle-free digital toll collection.
