New Delhi: The national capital will be experiencing dry days ahead as rainfall has taken a pause. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted strong surface winds during the day time, for Tuesday.

The temperature is expected at a maximum of 35 degree celsius and a minimum of 25 degree celsius. The relative humidity was recorded as 79% on Tuesday, 8:30 am.

Parts of the NCR would see strong surface winds with a speed of around 20 to 30 kilometres per hour during the day, said the IMD forecast.

Partly cloudy skies are likely for the next seven days, though there will be no rainfall. Most parts of Delhi had a dry day on Monday as well.

No rainfall, between 8:30 am, Monday and 8:30 am on Tuesday has been recorded by the Safdarjung station of the IMD, which provides representation data for the city.

With no expectation of rainfall, the mercury is set to inch upward over the next seven days, and is likely to hit a maximum of around 37 degree celsius on August 16.

The temperature stood at 28.8 degree celsius at 8:30 am on Tuesday.

On Sunday, heavy rain lashes the national capital which resulted in waterlogging and traffic congestion in many areas.

The updated on the traffic snarled across the city. Both roads from the Rajdhani Park metro station towards Peeragarhi got affected due to heavy waterlogging.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temprature in the city settled at 26.8 degrees celsius on Sunday.
