Noida News: City To Go Emission-Free With 500 e-Buses, Is This Public Transport’s Epic Comeback?

Noida News: More than 500 electric buses will start operating from July-August 2026 in Greater Noida, Noida and areas around the Yamuna Expressway.

Noida News: The Noida Authority is all set to introduce a fleet of more than 500 electric buses that will operate in Greater Noida, Noida and areas around the Yamuna Expressway.

SP Singh, the Chief Manager of Noida Authority’s New Township Cell, said that the fleet will be launched in a phase-wise manner in July-August 2026. Singh remarked the e-buses will operate on on-demand requirements.

In June last year, tenders were invited and Delbus Mobility Private Limited and Travel Time Mobility India Private Limited were chosen to operate the e-buses.

What Makes This Noida News Special For Commuters?

Singh added that 196 e-buses will operate on 9 Greater Noida routes, 52 on 2 routes in Yamuna Expressway area and 257 on 13 routes in Noida. He further added that the project is intended to make the availability of buses at intervals of 10 minutes, with a halt of twenty minutes between each trip.

Which Routes Will Be Covered?

The service is expected to cover important routes such as Tigri Gol Chakkar to Rajnigandha Chowk, Botanical Garden to Sampoornam, Dadri to GB University via Kasna, areas in Kasna village to Sharda University, Ek Murti Chowk in Greater Noida West to G B University and Shashi Chowk to Ace City.
