Odisha Train Tragedy: There was panic in the South Central Railway when they received an unknown letter threatening the same tragedy as the Odisha Train Accident on the Hyderabad Delhi route. The letter was addressed to the South Central Railway ‘s Divisional Manager saying that the same tragedy will happen on the Hyderabad Delhi route. The Railway officials have immediately informed the Hyderabad Police of the threatening letter.
‘We are probing the source of Letter’
The Deputy Police Commissioner launched an enquiry into the matter and said we are trying to locate the person who had sent the letter. More than 200 people have lost lives in the Odisha-Balasore Train Accident on 2nd June. After a High Level probe was ordered, it was revealed that a wrong signal was the main cause of the tragedy.
All DRMs asked to monitor Safety Measures
The Railway Commissioner had ruled out the possibility of any sabotage during the accident. Meanwhile the CBI is investigating the tragedy from a likely criminal angle. The Railway authorities also conducted a meet with the Railway officials to discuss the security arrangements. The Divisional Railway Manager instructed the staff to ensure that all the security and safety measures are in place. He asked all the DRMs to hold regular inspections to ensure safety measures in place.
