On 100th Day Of Farmer Protest, Farmers To Block Western Peripheral Expressway

A five-hour blockade of the Kundali-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway on Saturday (March 6, 2021) to mark the 100th day of their ongoing agitation by farmers unions protesting against Centre’s three controversial farm laws has announced.

The announcement was made by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), stating that the farmers would close the Western Peripheral Expressway or Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway on 6 March as their agitation against agricultural laws would complete 100 days. .

According to a statement released by SKM, tens of thousands of farmers will block Expresswa for 5 hours between 11 AM and 4 PM.

“March 6 will mark the 100th day of farmers’ protest on the borders of Delhi. On that day, there will be a 5-hour blockade on the KMP Expressway that connects various protest sites. The blockade will take place between 11 am and 4 pm. Farmer leader Balveer Singh Rajewal said that no toll will be charged at the toll plaza during this time.

“In the rest of the country, black flags will be hoisted at homes and offices to support the movement,” he said.

SKM is also working on a strategy for those states where assembly elections are to be held. Members of the farmers’ association will visit the states and participate in various programs and campaigns against the ruling BJP and its allies.
