One March, Countless Questions! Sonam Wangchuk to Abhijeet Dipke And Jantar Mantar, Check What’s on CJP Agenda Today

A day after thousands marched from Jantar Mantar toward Parliament demanding Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation over the NEET paper leak, the Cockroach Janta Party is set for another eventful day, with talks, health updates on Wangchuk and political outreach all on the table.

CJP Protest: Monday’s ‘Chalo Sansad’ march, called by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and backed by activist Sonam Wangchuk, drew massive crowds despite heavy rain and tight security. Protesters attempted to march from Jantar Mantar to Parliament, demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over alleged NEET exam irregularities. Delhi Police reported over 70 detentions during the standoff.

Wangchuk’s Health In Focus

Wangchuk, currently admitted to Safdarjung Hospital after being removed from Jantar Mantar on July 18 as his hunger strike crossed three weeks, has said he will continue fasting until student leaders are allowed to meet either Parliamentarians or him at the hospital. His condition remains a central point of concern going into today.

Dipke And The Government Talks

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who briefly ended his own hunger strike at Wangchuk’s appeal before rejoining the march, is expected to continue engaging with the Centre. Union Minister JP Nadda has confirmed that CJP proposed talks with the government for the first time, with discussions reportedly ongoing. Confusion around Dipke’s detention status on Monday, later denied by Delhi Police, is also likely to be addressed.

Political Outreach Continues

CJP Protest: Opposition leaders, including Samajwadi Party’s Dimple Yadav, have already visited the protest site in solidarity, and further political engagement is expected today as the standoff over the NEET issue continues to draw national attention.

Today’s agenda hinges on whether the CJP-government dialogue yields any concrete outcome, whether Wangchuk’s demand for student access is met, and how Delhi Police handles the continuing gathering at Jantar Mantar amid prohibitory orders still in place.
