The Ministry of Education said that online registrations for the second phase of Yuva Sangam, which will include 1,000 young people from 23 states and UTs, began on Saturday.
The portal especially designed for this purpose is available at https://ebsb.aicte-india.org/, where interested adolescents between the ages of 18 and 30 can register.
The government stated that 1,000 young people from 23 Indian states and UTs were expected to participate.
The exposure visits under this project will be carried out in the months of April and May 2023, according to the Ministry of Education.
"They will travel in a group of 45 to 50 to the paired State. It will provide an immersive, multidimensional experience of various facets under five broad areas of Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development), Prodyogik (Technology)and Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect)," the ministry said.
Students will interact with each other
Students will interact with each other all through the programme in regards to language, literature, cuisine, festivals, cultural events, and travel.
The Ministry stated: "In short, students will experience firsthand life in a totally new geographical and cultural context.
A massive 1200 young people participated in the first round of Yuva Sangam, which was recently concluded. They travelled to 22 states in India on 29 tours, with a particular emphasis on the North Eastern Region between February and March 2023.
The participants had a positive outcome that truly captured the essence of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
A programme called "Yuva Sangam" under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat has been designed as a joint effort of several ministries with the goal of fostering empathy among young people all over the country and enhancing people-to-people connections.
A shared sense of understanding is being fostered by the initiative among the thousands of young people taking part in the programme, and this spirit will spread throughout the nation and make a significant contribution to the creation of a really Shreshtha Bharat.
