PM Modi

PM Modi: Strong responses have been generated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s recent interview with ANI from politicians on all sides of the aisle. After PM Modi defended electoral bonds, AAP MP Sanjay Singh voiced amazement and dismay, calling the plan the “biggest scam since independence.” Singh’s criticism was especially sharp because it emphasized the Supreme Court’s decision that declared electoral bonds to be unlawful and unconstitutional.

Prime Minister Modi vehemently defended the contentious electoral bond system—which permits anonymous contributions to political parties—during the conversation. Singh’s criticism of Modi’s position was in line with the views of many others who have long been against electoral bonds because of their lack of accountability and transparency.
