Over 87 thousand donate blood on PM Modi’s Birthday

A new record of blood donation has been set in the country on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. In fact, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of PM Modi on Saturday, the central government started the blood donation campaign and on the very first day people donated blood at a record level. According to the information given by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, more than 87 thousand people have donated blood voluntarily on Saturday. This in itself is a world record.

According to the information, on September 17, 87137 people donated blood of their own free will. Earlier in 2014, 87,059 people donated blood. This record has now been left behind. The Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya on Saturday started a massive voluntary blood donation campaign by donating blood at the blood donation camp at Safdarjung Hospital.

Describing this achievement, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that today I am very happy to inform that more than 87 thousand people have donated blood of their own free will under the blood donation festival of Modi ji. He had said that this is a priceless gift from the country to his beloved Pradhan Sevak. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya himself donated blood.

On this occasion, BJP National President JP Nadda had also tweeted that on the occasion of PM Modi’s birthday, BJP has organized blood donation camps in all the states. I am extremely happy to inform that till now more than 1 lakh people have contributed in this holy work of blood donation. This figure is increasing continuously. Thanks everyone.
