In a strong rebuttal at the United Nations, India’s Permanent Representative, Ambassador Harish P, slammed Pakistan for its repeated and unwarranted remarks on Jammu and Kashmir. He firmly reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir was, is, and will always remain an integral part of India.

India Exposes Pakistan’s Terror Links

Ambassador Harish P highlighted Pakistan’s continuous attempts to push a “parochial and divisive agenda” on global platforms. He accused Pakistan of state-sponsored cross-border terrorism, emphasizing that such references neither validate Islamabad’s claims nor justify its actions. India also underscored that Pakistan illegally occupies parts of Jammu and Kashmir and must vacate them immediately.

India’s Firm Stand at Global Forum

Rejecting Pakistan’s claims, the Indian envoy asserted that Islamabad has been using international platforms to divert attention from its own internal issues. “We would advise Pakistan not to try to mislead this forum. India will refrain from exercising a more elaborate Right of Reply,” he added, making it clear that New Delhi would not be drawn into baseless narratives.

Pakistan’s Repeated Attempts to Rake Up Kashmir

Pakistan has consistently raised the Kashmir issue at the UN, despite repeated setbacks and dismissals. The global community has largely refrained from backing its claims, with India maintaining that Jammu and Kashmir is a sovereign and internal matter.

India’s Call for Action Against Terrorism

New Delhi also used the opportunity to expose Pakistan’s role in fostering terrorism in the region. India has repeatedly highlighted at international forums how terror groups operating from Pakistan’s soil pose a significant threat to peace and security.

As diplomatic tensions persist, India's assertive stance at the UN sends a clear message that attempts to internationalize Jammu and Kashmir will not be tolerated. Further developments in the ongoing Indo-Pak discourse at the UN remain to be seen.
