Pakistani Reaction on Kargil War
In the recently surfaced video uploaded on YouTube, a Pakistani man is heard discussing the Kargil War with a mix of frustration and disbelief. He says, "Kargil kya hai kisne di hai unko, kya mene di hai?" He further says, "Aapka Peshab Nikal Jata hai, Wo Do Division Move Karte Hain, aapki taange shaam tak kaanpni nahi rukti."
The Kargil War
The Kargil War, which took place in the Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan between May and July 1999, was a major conflict. When terrorists and soldiers from Pakistan took control of key locations on the Indian side of the Line of Control (LoC), the conflict officially broke out. "Operation Vijay" was initiated by the Indian Army to recover these positions, and it resulted in a heroic triumph.
The Indian Army announced the conclusion of "Operation Vijay," on July 26, 1999, bringing the almost three-month-long battle to an end. In remembrance of the courage and sacrifice made by the Indian soldiers who bravely defended their country's frontiers, this day is known as Kargil Vijay Diwas.
