Monsoon Session 2023: Opposition parties will discuss topics like Manipur violence, railway safety, unemployment, inflation, the status of the India-China border, and trade balance in the House as the monsoon session of Parliament gets underway today, July 20. 34 parties and 44 leaders participated in the customary all-party meeting on Wednesday, which was held to ensure a smooth session that will have 17 sittings from now until August 11.

Opposition Seeks Adjournment Motion for Manipur Violence and Other Issues in Monsoon Session

Some parties intend to introduce an adjournment motion on the first day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament to address the violence in Manipur and other matters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi must be present for the discussion, according to the opposition. The Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, 2023 is one of 31 legislation on the government's agenda for the monsoon session of Parliament, which begins on Thursday.
