Passport holders will now be able to apply online for police verification.The Ministry of External Affairs has informed on Monday, 27 September that passport applicants can apply online for Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) at the Post Office Passport Seva Kendra from September 28, 2022.
To get a passport, it is necessary to get the verification done by the police and the Ministry of External Affairs issues the passport. In fact, sometimes it takes a long time for the local police to issue PCC and this leads to delay in giving passport.
According to the statement of the Ministry of External Affairs, after the sudden increased demand for PCC of passport applicants, it was decided that from September 28, online application for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) can be given at the Post Office Passport Seva Kendra.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the facility of online application being available at the Post Office Passport Seva Kendra will not only help Indian citizens working abroad, but also those going for studies, staying abroad for a long time, emigration. In many cases people like those who applied forHelp will be available.
