Path to Bangra Ghat Mahasetu in Bihar collapsed on day of its inauguration

The cost of this bridge was 509 crores.

Another case of breakdown of the bridge approach road has come up in Bihar. The Incident took place after the increased flow of Saran Dam. The path road to the Bangra Ghat Mahasetu has been broken on the day of its inauguration by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar through video conferencing. The approach road of Bangra Ghat Mahasetu in Chapra is now been demolished on the day of its inauguration. The cost of this bridge was 509 crores.

“Gopalganj’s Bangra Ghat bridge which broke even before the inauguration by CM. Now the BJP-JDU people will say that the approach road is broken, not the bridge, as the approach road has been built by the opposition. CM will still inaugurate because nowadays he is intent on inaugurating any new, old, shabby, broken things,” Gopalganj RJD tweeted

It is being told that the approach road of Bangra Ghat Mahasetu was cut off due to the breakdown of Saran Dam in Baikunthpur. The path of Mahasetu has collapsed within a radius of about 50 meters. Officials of Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation have reached the spot just after the incident took place. More than two JCB machines and hundreds of laborers have been called up for the repair work.
