PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Big Relief for Farmers! ₹2000 of 21st Installment to Be Credited Soon

The funds are directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts to ensure transparency.

The Modi government is preparing to release the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, bringing good news for crores of farmers across India. According to media reports, the next installment of ₹2000 is expected to be credited by the end of October 2025 or the first week of November 2025.

World’s Largest Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme

Launched in 2019, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is considered the world’s largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) program. Under this flagship initiative, small and marginal farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, distributed in three installments of ₹2,000 each. The funds are directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts to ensure transparency.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally released the 20th installment in August 2025 during a ceremony in Varanasi, benefiting over 9.7 crore farmers, including 2.5 crore women farmers.

Over ₹20,500 Crore Transferred to Farmers

In the previous installment, the government transferred around ₹20,500 crore directly to farmers’ accounts. While the 20th installment came slightly later than expected, previous disbursements — such as the 19th in February 2025, 18th in October 2024, and 17th in June 2024 — have maintained a roughly four-month interval pattern.

21st Installment Expected Soon

Though no official date has been announced yet, reports indicate that farmers in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir have already received their payments. The remaining states are likely to receive updates soon.

Farmers are also advised to complete their e-KYC verification at the earliest, as pending KYC could delay the credit of funds. Notably, the 21st installment was released earlier for Jammu & Kashmir farmers affected by floods and landslides.

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana continues to stand as a symbol of the government’s commitment to supporting India’s agrarian community through direct, timely, and transparent financial assistance.
