PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Under this scheme, eligible farmers get ₹ 6,000 annually. This ₹ 6,000 is paid in three installments in a year. The amounts are directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiary farmers. Previous installment was released to more than 9.8 crore eligible farmers on February 24, 2025. All the farmers will not get next installment in June 2025. Institutional farmers and some other farmers are excluded to get the benefit.
Who are excluded from PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?
All farmers are not eligible to get the benefits of the PM Kisan scheme. All institutional land holders are excluded from the scheme. Farmer families of these categories are also excluded:
• Former and present holders of constitutional posts
• Former and present Ministers/ State Ministers and former/present Members of LokSabha/ RajyaSabha/ State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils,former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
• All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ State Government Ministries /Offices/Departments and its field units Central or State PSEs and Attached offices /Autonomous Institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies
(Excluding Multi-Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees)
• All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs.10,000/-or more
(Excluding Multi-Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees) of above category
• All Persons who paid Income Tax in last assessment year
Mandatory e-kyc for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
To get the benefit of the scheme, eKYC is mandatory for all the registered farmers under the PM Kisan scheme. OTP based eKYC is available on PM Kisan Portal. Nearest Common Service Centres (CSCs) may also be contacted for biometric based eKYC.
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and Eligibility
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was launched by PM Modi and has become operational from 1st December 2018. PM Kisan is a scheme with 100% funding from Government of India. Under the scheme an income support of ₹ 6,000 per year is provided in three equal installments to all land holding farmer families. Definition of family for the scheme is husband, wife and minor children. State Government and UT administration identify all the eligible farmer families for the scheme. The fund is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a financial assistance from government of India to Indian farmers. The financial assistance is provided directly in bank accounts of eligible farmers.
