PM Modi dedicated 7 new defense companies to the nation, said- ‘Work was pending since 15-20 years’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has handed over 7 new defense companies to the country, formed in place of the Ordnance Factory Board, on the occasion of Vijayadashami. On this occasion, he said, “This launch of 7 new companies is a part of the resolve to bring the country’s 41 Ordnance Factories into a new form. He said that this work was pending since last 15-20 years. I am confident that all these seven companies will become a major base of India’s military strength in the times to come.”

The PM said that this initiative will form the basis of the country’s military strength. He said that after independence it needed to be upgraded which was not done. The PM said that in the last seven years, the government has worked to advance the military sector. For the first time after independence, such big reforms are taking place.

PM Modi, who was addressing with the video conference in the program, said that the whole world is full of hope about India with the speed with which our economy has returned after the difficult times of Corona. He said that recently a world body has also said that India is again going to become the fastest growing economy in the world.

The PM said that this year India has entered the 75th year of its independence. In this nectar of independence, the country is taking new resolutions to build a new future and completing the works which were stuck for decades.

The PM said, “The world has seen the strength of India’s Ordnance Factories during the World War. We used to have better resources, world class skills. After independence, we needed to upgrade these factories, adopt new age technology! But it didn’t get much attention.”

The PM said, “Under the Self-reliant India campaign, the country’s goal is to make India the world’s biggest military power on its own, development of modern military industry in IndiaIn the last seven years, the country has worked to take forward this resolve with the mantra of ‘Make in India’.”

He said, “Today there is more transparency, trust, and technology driven approach in the defense sector of the country than ever before. For the first time after independence, so many major reforms are happening in our defense sector, instead of stagnant policies, a single window system has been arranged.”

The PM appealed to the youth, “I will also tell the startups of the country, through these 7 companies, the new beginning that the country has started today, you should also be a part of it. You should think about your research, how your products can work together with these companies to benefit from each other’s capabilities.”
