PM Modi Questions Delhi Government
Without directly naming the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) or its leader Arvind Kejriwal, PM Modi questioned the Delhi government for alleged governance failures. “In the past 10 years, funds sent by the central government for schools in Delhi were misused. Delhi is reeling under the impact of scams in education, liquor, and healthcare,” he said.
Focus on Ayushman Bharat Scheme
The Prime Minister also targeted the Delhi government for not implementing the Ayushman Bharat scheme. “Delhi residents have been deprived of free healthcare because of the state government’s opposition to Ayushman Bharat,” he said, adding that the scheme is operational across the country but remains absent in Delhi due to political disagreements.
Housing for Urban Poor a Priority
Highlighting the central government’s achievements, PM Modi said over 4 crore houses have been constructed for the poor across India in the past decade. “Soon, we will build 1 crore houses for urban poor, including thousands for Delhi residents,” he added.

BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya supported PM Modi’s remarks, tweeting, “I could have built a palace for myself, but I chose to build homes for over 4 crore poor people.”
