PM Modi joins Grammy-winning singer Falu for song on benefits of millets

The year 2023 has been declared as the International Millet Year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has co-written a song with Grammy award winning Indian-origin singer Falu to highlight the benefits of coarse grains. The song 'Abundance in Millets' will soon be released in English and Hindi on all streaming platforms.

Music written to raise awareness about coarse grains

It will also be translated into local languages to increase its reach. Grammy Award winner Falu said that the song is about the importance of coarse grains. Abundance in Millets is designed to raise awareness about the importance of millets to reduce world hunger.

Falu told that she had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi after winning the Grammy Award. The importance of music in bringing change was discussed during the meeting with PM Modi, as it transcends the boundaries of any country. PM Modi had said that I should write a song on coarse grains. I requested the Prime Minister to be involved in the composition of this song and he agreed.

Falu said she was very nervous at first about writing a song with the Prime Minister. Fagu said that writing songs for her is a different thing, while writing songs with the Prime Minister is a different thing. Falu said that you will get to hear his voice in the song.
