PM Modi launches 'Vande Bharat Express,' puts Rajasthan's tourism industry on the fast track

PM Modi: Today, through video conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi signalled the departure of Rajasthan's first Vande Bharat Express train. (April 12). In Rajasthan, the first-ever Vande Bharat Express ran between Jaipur and Delhi Cantt.

The newest Vande Bharat Express will travel the route between Delhi Cantt. and Ajme

Starting on Thursday, this Vande Bharat Express will operate on a regular schedule. (April 13). With stops in Jaipur, Alwar, and Gurugram, it will run between Ajmer and Delhi Cantt. The newest Vande Bharat Express will travel the route between Delhi Cantt. and Ajmer in 5 hours and 15 minutes, per the schedule created for it. The Shatabdi Express, currently the quickest train on the same route, travels in 6 hours and 15 minutes. The new Vande Bharat Express will travel the same route 60 minutes faster than the current fastest train.

"Today, from Ajmer to Delhi, Rajasthan will receive its first Vande Bharat Express. According to PM Modi, the Vande Bharat train will help Rajasthan's tourism economy grow. The first semi-highspeed train built in India is the Vande Bharat Express. One of the smallest and most effective trains is this one. It has a safety system, " PM Modi continued.

Vande Bharat Express is the first semi-high-speed passenger train in the world

Delhi Cantt. Ajmer. In high-rise overhead electric (OHE) area, Vande Bharat Express is the first semi-high-speed passenger train in the world. The train would enhance accessibility to popular tourist locations in Rajasthan, such as Pushkar and the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, among other locations that draw large numbers of visitors all year long. Improved connectivity will also help the region's socioeconomic development. An indigenously produced, semi-high speed, self-propelled train set is called the Vande Bharat Express. Modern passenger facilities on board the train make for a speedier, more comfortable, and more convenient ride for travellers.
