PM Modi Singapore Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Singapore on September 4 for a two-day visit, where he was warmly welcomed. This marks the second day of PM Modi's visit to Singapore. During this visit, PM Modi held a meeting with Singapore's Prime Minister, Lawrence Wong, at the representative level. Several significant agreements between the two countries were also made. Additionally, PM Modi and PM Wong visited a semiconductor company today.

PM Modi shared information about the semiconductor company visit on his social media platform, X. He wrote, “Semiconductors and technology are crucial aspects of India-Singapore cooperation. This is also a sector where India is increasing its presence. Today, PM Wong and I visited AEM Holdings Limited. We are eager to work together in this area and provide more opportunities for our youth.”
Key MoUs Signed Between India and Singapore
- Semiconductor Ecosystem Partnership: An agreement was signed between India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry regarding the semiconductor ecosystem.
- Digital Technologies Collaboration: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Singapore's Ministry of Digital Development and Information, focusing on cooperation in digital technologies.
- Educational and Skill Development Cooperation: An MoU was signed between India's Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Singapore's Ministry of Education to enhance educational cooperation and skill development.
- Health and Medical Collaboration: A significant agreement was made between India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Singapore's Ministry of Health regarding collaboration in the health and medical fields.

PM Modi also mentioned on his social media platform X that his discussions with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong continued on various topics. He stated, “The discussions with my friend, PM Lawrence Wong continued today. Our talks focused on boosting cooperation in areas like skilling, technology, healthcare, AI and more. We both agreed on the need to boost trade relations.”
