PM Modi Takes Swipe at INDIA Alliance, Says ‘Vaar on Shakti Means Vaar on Women…’

Learn about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's sharp condemnation of the Karnataka Congress administration, his rallying cry for supporters, and his calculated political moves in important areas.

PM Modi: In a blistering attack on the Congress administration in Karnataka on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the historic party had turned the southern state into their ATM. In a jab at the Congress, Prime Minister Modi claimed that the party becomes a master at telling lies before every election and that this also applies to Karnataka.

Karnataka’s Role in NDA’s Triumph

He went on to say that the Karnataka electorate bears a significant responsibility for guaranteeing the NDA’s triumph in securing more than 400 seats. Addressing a public rally in Karnataka’s Shimoga, Modi said, “4 June ko 400 paar. Karnataka voters have a big responsibility in this mission. Why are we talking about 400 seats? 400 paar for Viksit Bharat, Viksit Karnataka…”

Modi’s Assertion on the Importance of Shakti

According to Prime Minister Modi, although the I.N.D.I.A. alliance has sworn to destroy Shakti, “vaar” on Shakti also implies “vaar” on women, daughters, and Maa Bharti. “Yesterday an announcement to destroy Shakti was made from Shivaji Park (in Mumbai). How much it must have hurt the soul of Balasaheb Thackeray… Nari Shakti ka yahi aashirvad mera sabse bada kawach hai…The people of the INDI alliance want to destroy this Shakti. They hate the increasing shakti of Maa Bharti…’Vaar’ on Shakti means ‘vaar’ on women, daughters, Maa Bharti,” he said.

Modi’s Electoral Strategy Unfolds in Karnataka

Two days after his first election rally in Karnataka, which took place in Kalaburgi, the hometown of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Modi is holding his second public gathering. This time, the public gathering is taking place in Yediyurappa’s hometown district, a prominent member of the BJP.

The saffron camp has fielded his eldest son, B Y Raghavendra, to run as an independent in the Shimoga Lok Sabha seat, which is held by party renegade and former deputy chief minister K S Eshwarappa. PM Modi spoke at a public gathering in Jagtial, Telangana, earlier in the day. Later on in the day, he will go to Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to do a road show.
