Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Air Force Station (AFS) Adampur, one of the most strategic airbases in India, located in Punjab’s Jalandhar district. Sharing glimpses from his visit on social media, PM Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to national security and sent a clear message of strength and preparedness to hostile neighbours, especially Pakistan.

“Sharing some more glimpses from my visit to AFS Adampur,” PM Modi tweeted, along with photos interacting with Air Force personnel and inspecting defence assets.

AFS Adampur: A Key Asset in India's Defence Strategy

AFS Adampur holds immense strategic significance as it is India’s second-largest Air Force base, after Hindon. Positioned close to the international border, it has been crucial in guarding the nation during wartime and remains a frontline airbase in any regional contingency.

Historically, AFS Adampur played a vital role during the 1965 and 1971 wars with Pakistan, launching successful air raids and defending Indian airspace. It has hosted various squadrons of MiG-29 fighter jets, known for their agility and combat readiness.

Boosting Morale and National Sentiment

PM Modi’s visit is seen as a morale booster for the armed forces, especially amid rising concerns over border security and increasing geopolitical tensions. He interacted with Air Force officers, technicians, and other personnel, appreciating their dedication to safeguarding the nation.

“Our Air Warriors exemplify courage and discipline. India is proud of their service,” PM Modi said during his address at the base.

Strong Message to Pakistan

The Prime Minister’s visit also sends a strategic signal to Pakistan, reinforcing India's vigilance and readiness. The visit comes amid cross-border ceasefire violations and intelligence inputs warning of potential threats.

By spotlighting a key border airbase, PM Modi underlined India's zero-tolerance policy for threats to national sovereignty, emphasizing strength through preparedness.

Nation and People First

The visit reflects the government’s focus on defence modernization and national unity. AFS Adampur continues to symbolize the Indian Air Force’s historical legacy and its future-forward combat readiness.

PM Modi’s post stirred a wave of patriotic sentiments on social media, with many users praising the Prime Minister’s continued engagement with the armed forces.
