PM Modi: The 100th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio show 'Mann Ki Baat' is due to air this Sunday, April 30. The Centre is organising a number of events, the first of which is a National Conclave on Mann Ki Baat on Wednesday. The Centre will also issue a Rs 100 coin to commemorate the program's 100th edition. In practise, the coin is said to be distinct from regular coinage.
The coin will be 44 mm in diameter
The Rs 100 coin that will be released to commemorate the 100th successful episode of PM Modi's monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' will contain a microphone and the year '2023' on it. According to the government's notification, just one hundred rupee coin will be struck. The coin will be 44 mm in diameter. It will be comprised of four metals- 50 percent silver, 40 percent copper, 5% nickel, and 5% zinc. There will also be a symbol commemorating Mann Ki Baat's 100th episode, which will be a picture of a microphone with sound waves. The novel 'Mann Ki Baat 100' will be written in both Hindi and English. The coin will weigh 35 grammes in total. According to the government, the front of the coin will feature Ashoka Pillar, with the words 'Satyamev Jayate' engraved beneath it. 'Bharat' will be written in Devnagari on the left side, while INDIA will be written in English on the right. The emblem and the number '100' will also be etched on the coin.

This is not the first time the Centre has issued a Rs 100 coin
Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a Rs 100 coin in remembrance of Atal Bihari. On the occasion of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia's birth centenary, a Rs 100 coin was also minted. On the 476th anniversary of Maharana Pratap's birth, a 100-rupee coin was also issued. This is not the first time the Centre has issued a Rs 100 coin. Previously, the government struck such coins on numerous occasions to honour notable events and days. In 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2015, a Rs 100 coin was produced.
