PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat@100 today to broadcast live globally at UN headquarters

Mann ki Baat@100:  The watershed 100th episode of PM Modi’s monthly radio address will be beamed live at 11 am IST today on April 30. Significantly, today’s episode of Mann ki Baat will be broadcast live in the United Nations headquarters. It will be aired in the UN’s Trusteeship Council Chamber.

“Get ready for a historic moment as the 100th episode of PM Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” is set to go live on April 30th in the Trusteeship Council Chamber at @UN HQ!” the Permanent Mission of India to the UN said in a tweet.

A truly special journey

Meanwhile, PM Modi on Saturday said the journey of Mann Ki Baat his has been a truly special journey. In his tweet, he said: “Do tune in at 11 AM for #MannKiBaat100. This has been a truly special journey, in which we have celebrated the collective spirit of the people of India and highlighted inspiring life journeys.”

To make this a historical event, The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made detailed arrangements for the special episode. Ministries of the Central government and the state units have planned several programmes to mark the same.

‘Unprecedented’ mass outreach programme

The party has left no stone unturned to make the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat an ‘unprecedented’ mass outreach programme, said one commentator. “It will make arrangements at 100 venues on average in every assembly constituency across the country for people to listen to it. Let’s make tomorrow’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ broadcast, a Movement!”, it said.

Over the subsequent years, Mann ki Baat encompassed a slew of topics — weather, environment, cleanliness, various social issues and even examinations.

The BJP said it will make  arrangements at around four lakh places across the country for people to hear the PM’s address, with party president J P Nadda overseeing the entire exercise to make it a “historic” success.

Overseas Indians around the world will also listen to ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the party said in a statement.
