Terrorists supported by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)

Terrorist groups Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) which are operational in J&K’s Rajouri helped the seven terrorists in the Indian Army vehicle blast. The terrorist organization People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF) had earlier claimed responsibility for the attack. The incident is currently under investigation and reports have suggested that the terrorists infiltrated India from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir via Rajouri and Poonch.

The incident took place in the Rajouri sector of Poonch at around 3 pm. The initial statement by the Army’s Northern Command suggested that the truck may have caught fire immediately due to the use of RPGs amid lightning strikes.

The murdered soldiers were assigned to the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles regiment and were responsible for counterterrorism operations in the region.
