Punjab Government to Provide 1 crore Assistance To Families Of Martyrs

On the lines of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi, Punjab cabinet which met under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwnt Mann in another significant decision gave approval to enhances rates of ex-gratia grant to families of martyr soldiers from Rs. 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore.

Punjab cabinet’s important decisions:

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given this information by tweeting. He said in his tweet that “Our brave sons of Punjab lay down their lives to protect the country and Punjab, to maintain peace. It is the responsibility of society to take care of them and their families. Carrying out the same responsibility, the Punjab cabinet took two important decisions.

Families of martyrs will now get the assistance of 1 crore:

Giving a gift to the martyred jawans, the Punjab cabinet, in its two important decisions, said that the families of the martyred soldiers would get Rs 1 crore as assistance. At the same time, a 40% increase has been made in the prize money of the brave jawans of Punjab who won the prize.

The Chief Minister of Delhi and the convener of the Aam Aadmi Party have also given their reaction to this decision and said, “After Delhi, now the Punjab government of the Aam Aadmi Party has also set an example. Now the Punjab government will give an honorarium of ₹ 1 crore to the families of the brave sons of Punjab who laid down their lives for the country.
