Punjab Govt names list of Corrupt Officers, seeks legal action

Punjab News:The Punjab Government has come out with the names of all corrupt officials. Officials from the Revenue Department and the Deputy Tax collectors have been named in the list. There are names of other officials also who have taken bribes illegally. All the names were cleared by the Vigilance Department and been sent to the Chief Secretary of Punjab.

Vigilance Department launches probe

The officers of the Vigilance Department will launch further probe in the matter. The list includes the names of various officers from different departments from Mohali, Ropar, Jalandhar, Bhatinda, Hoshiyarpur etc. The Chief Secretary has asked all the respective officers to start probing the matter and take necessary action according to the law.

Guilty will be punished as per law

The list also has the names of the clerks, lawyers and touts etc. The government has initiated an enquiry into the matter and will soon arrest the guilty.
