Key Announcements in Budget 2025

1. No Income Tax Up to ₹12 Lakh

– The nil tax slab has been raised to ₹12 lakh (₹12.75 lakh for salaried taxpayers with a standard deduction), bringing massive relief to the middle class.

2. Big Boost for MSMEs

– Investment and turnover limits for MSME classification have been enhanced to 2.5 times and 2 times, encouraging growth and job creation.

3. PM Dhan Dhyan Krishi Yojana

– A new scheme covering 100 districts with low yields will support 1.7 crore farmers with modern crop techniques and better credit access.

4. Kisan Credit Card Expansion

– The interest subvention scheme limit has been increased from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh, providing better financial support to farmers.

5. Support for Women Entrepreneurs

– A scheme to assist five lakh SC/ST women entrepreneurs with term loans of up to ₹2 crore over the next five years.

6. New-Age Cities with Urban Challenge Fund
