Speaking to the media, Gandhi said, “I came here to get a sense of what is going on and to help. The entire people of Jammu and Kashmir have condemned this terrible action, and they've fully supported the nation.”

Highlighting the broader intent behind the attack, Gandhi emphasized unity

He also visited one of the injured victims and extended his condolences to the families of those killed. “My love and affection to everybody who has lost family members, and I want everybody to know that the whole nation is standing together as one,” he said.

Highlighting the broader intent behind the attack, Gandhi emphasized unity: “The idea behind what has happened is to divide society, to make brother fight brother. And it is very important that every single Indian stands united, stands together, so that we can defeat what the terrorists were trying to do.”

Rahul Gandhi further noted that the United Opposition had a meeting with the government and unanimously condemned the attack. He stated, “We are there to support whatever action the government wants to take.”

His remarks come as calls for national unity grow stronger amid the tragic loss of lives in the Pahalgam attack that left 26 dead, most of them tourists.
