Rahul Gandhi: Political Tensions Escalate as BJP and Congress Clash Amidst Yatras

Rahul Gandhi: In the latest episode of heightened political tensions, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Malviya, who also heads the party’s IT Cell, posted a video clip capturing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi allegedly losing his temper in response to chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Modi Modi.” Malviya’s social media post questioned Gandhi’s composure and speculated about his ability to face the public, especially after the Congress party declined an invitation to the Pran Pratistha in Ayodhya.

Hours later, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh reported an attack on his vehicle during the party’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Assam’s Sonitpur district. Ramesh claimed that a BJP crowd attacked his car, tore off Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra stickers, and shouted anti-BJNY slogans. Despite the incident, Ramesh asserted that they remained composed, waved to the assailants, and continued with the yatra. The All India Congress Committee (AICC) communications coordinator, Mahima Singh, highlighted the incident, stating that the police were informed, and additional security measures were taken.

As Rahul Gandhi’s yatra progresses through Assam, moving from Biswanth district through Sonitpur to Nagaon, the clashes between BJP and Congress members underscore the heightened political atmosphere and simmering tensions between the two parties.

Allegations of Violence Mar Political Yatras in Assam

The political landscape in Assam becomes increasingly charged as the BJP and Congress engage in a war of words and actions. The alleged incident involving Rahul Gandhi’s reaction to slogans and the reported attack on Jairam Ramesh’s vehicle highlight the growing animosity between the two political rivals. As both parties conduct their respective yatras in the state, incidents of clashes and confrontations threaten to escalate, raising concerns about the overall security and political climate in the region.
