Rahul Gandhi specifically criticized the ₹1 lakh crore Dharavi Redevelopment Project, labeling its tendering process as a deliberate move to favor Adani Group. “Dharavi’s land, valued at ₹1 lakh crore, is being handed over to Adani. This project is neither in the interest of the people of Dharavi, nor Mumbai, nor Maharashtra,” he declared.

• A GAIL petrochemical project worth ₹3,000 crore.
• A high-profile iPhone manufacturing project estimated at ₹2 lakh crore.

The Dharavi Redevelopment Project, aimed at transforming Asia’s largest slum, has long been a subject of debate. While the project promises to uplift millions of residents, critics, including Gandhi, argue that the process has been opaque, with undue benefits flowing to influential corporations.
