Republic Day 2023: Authorities issue major traffic advisory ! Must read before stepping out

Republic Day 2023: On the eve of Republic Day, Delhi Police issued an advisory regarding the traffic flow of the national capital. From 10.30 AM, the huge Republic Day procession will start at Vijay Chowk and proceed to the Red Fort. Traffic preparations and limitations will be implemented, the Delhi traffic police tweeted, to ensure that the procession is handled smoothly throughout its route.

Latest advisory for traffic on Republic Day 2023

From 6 p.m. on January 25 till the conclusion of the procession, no traffic will be permitted on Kartavya Path between Vijay Chowk and India Gate. From 10 PM on January 25 at Rafi Marg, Janpath, and Man Singh Road as well, no cross traffic will be permitted on the Kartavya Path.

From 10.30 AM, no traffic will be permitted on Tilak Marg, BSZ Marg, or Subhash Marg, and cross traffic will only be permitted in accordance with the parade’s progress. The advise also asks commuters and vehicles to obey traffic rules and road regulations.

How will bus service work on Republic Day 2023

In addition, there will be less city bus service available along Park Street/Udyan Marg, R/A Kamla Marg, Pragati Maidan (Bhairon Road), Delhi Sachivalaya (IG Stadium), Mori Gate, Aram Bagh Road (Pahar Ganj), Hanuman Mandir (Yamuna Bazar), ISBT Sarai Kale Khan, ISBT Kashmiri Gate, and Tis Hazari Court. The use of unusual airborne platforms is also prohibited within Delhi’s National Capital Territory (NCT) authority.

All commuters and travellers are encouraged to schedule their journeys in advance and allow enough time to get where they’re going in case of a delay.
